Cattle Market

Location: Dubai

The Abbatoir and Cattle Market in Al Qusais, Dubai, is owned by Dubai municipality, rented and run by individual shed owners. Earlier, the farm was running solely on diesel generators. Due to the high level of noise and costs of diesel for the generators, both the municipality as well as the shedowners wanted to remove all generators from the sheds.

The large farm consists of over 100 separate sheds of various sizes. Each shed needs proper lighting during the evenings and nights. Solar LED systems of 24VDC were designed for each shed according to the different requirements and budgets from the clients.

The entire project was approved, initiated and supervised by the Dubai government. After looking for a suitable lighting system for 2 years, finally they found Hollandia Solar who assisted them and offered the appropriate solution.

By the time the project is finalized, the complete farm will be running on 100% on solar power.
